Dementia Jersey

Our chosen charity for 2020-2022 was Dementia Jersey. You can find more information at Dementia Jersey

Dementia Jersey exists to provide advice, support and information to the community as a whole and has over the last 3 years (info as at Dec 2022) seen a 78% increase in the amount of people seeking our support, people of all ages, their families, friends and carers.

As well as offering a counselling and family support service, a number of community activities and a weekend Saturday day care centre, they provide education and awareness sessions to schools, community groups, local companies and organisations.

Dementia Jersey is registered with the Jersey Financial Services Commission and the Jersey Charity Commission no 42.

Food Bank

Many people visiting Jersey are surprised to learn that there is a need for a Food Bank but St Helier Methodist Church meets this need.  At St Aubin Methodist Church we have a shopping trolley in the vestibule that is regularly filled and donated to SHMC.  Any time you would like to donate items to the Food Bank you can bring items along on a Sunday morning or pop into the church during the week.  The doors are open for some time on most days but usually between 1.00 and 4.00pm on Mondays and 10.00am and 12.30pm on Thursday morning.  All donations are most welcome.
